My Dream Guide

About three months ago, I was visiting my college of choice with my parents during a weekend long trip. On the one night we spent in the town, I was having tumultuous dreams that I couldn't escape from (I'm usually a pretty lucid dreamer). The nightmare started to reach its violent crescendo when everything faded out into a dark blue haze. In my dream I saw a figure, of which I can't entirely describe. However, it emitted a sense of peace and truth, but not friendliness.

I woke up a moment later, only to see this entity hovering just a few feet away. I wear prescription contacts, so the details were blurry. For lack of better words, it had a yam shaped body, with muscular horse legs. It's two featureless arms folded together as if praying, and for a face it had just a dark hole, with waves of what I could only interpret as hair draping over it.

I have not seen the spirit in the waking world since, but it comes to me often in dreams, most often when I'm having a lucid dream. By this point, I have found its name to be Nealaphh, and it guides me through the dream world.

Even more remarkable, is my ability to mentally contact Nealaphh for advice regarding the world of dreams. It's knowledge of other-worldly beings and dream cycles proves invaluable.

If anyone else has a "dream familiar", would you please tell me about them? I'm very curious about this concept.

During times in my life that I meditate, "spiritual experiences" happen on an almost daily basis. Reading your story reminded me of a very odd incident during one of my dreams over a decade ago. In the middle of a dream (not lucid) a woman interrupted by walking towards me through the "movie screen". The dream activity on the screen stopped and the only thing she said was "You are taking too many pills". She, then, walked back through the screen and my dream resumed where it left off. It's my theory that my guide had tried to warn me while I was awake and failing to get my attention - made this dramatic entrance. An overdose of the medication could have caused a heart attack. Someone else who wrote in response to your story mentioned a place online for dreamers --- dreams have such power. As an aside, my 29 year old son mentioned that he had a dream guide that taught him about using his thoughts to create or change "reality". Thank you for sharing your story.

I believe that when we dream our spirit controls our thought process, It creates us a visual of its own reality and conforms what we know as dreaming. Our spirit has a number of tools that some of us are lucky to enough translate.
1.Telepathy
2.Seeing the future
3.Converting our imagination
4.Communication with other spirit
5.Astral projecting,
These are just some of the things those who are fortunate enough, can develop and use for their own well being.

I have a spirit guide who frequents my dreams, and I also have a lot of lucid dreams and OBEs. He has taught me a lot about other realms & states of consciousness, energies, and spirits. He sometimes gives advice about my waking life that is very helpful.

Higher beings and spirits tend to operate using an almost foreign set of morals to ours. It's not good or bad--just different. What matters is whether the spirit has your best interests at heart and acts based on that.

Drop by MortalMist.com if you want to share more about your dreams--we have a lot of experienced dreamers there! Although only a few have dream guides, so consider yourself very blessed. :)

I am a bit confused... Are saying that this entity is an angel or a demon... Or something in-between. You did say it was peaceful, but not friendly... Can you xplain more.
