When I was 14 years old my brother came to me and wanted me to go with him to steal gasoline. Our family wasn't a church going family. Having heard the 10 commandments I knew stealing was wrong. I laid in my bed and prayed to God, God if there is a God make my stomach hurt. My stomach hurt. There is a God. I prayed again, God if I shouldn't go make my stomach hurt. This time it not only hurt but I was lifted off my bed by my stomach. Never again have I questioned if there is a God or not.
When I was 30 years old I was sent to prison. I had been given a Bible by my first girl friend that I kept but never took time to read. I took it to prison with me with the idea to read and study it. I joined any Bible study I could and went to church at every occasion that was presented to me. This went on for 5 months or so.
I felt good about my new knowledge. Accepting Jesus, being slain in the Spirit a Christian I had became. Once again I prayed to God about a question I had. I had skipped out on lunch that day and laid on my bunk reading. I dosed off for a minute. Suddenly the brightest light hit my Bible opening it to Isaiah 42. I was in the light. There were Angles singing this most beautiful song. The question I had prayed about was answered in Isaiah.
This is the song the Angles were singing, I'm not sure how to write a song but I'll try by by writing each phrase.
Praise God the Creator of Heaven and Earth
Praise God all ye lands
Praise him for his loving - kindness and tender mercies
Praise God, Praise God, Praise God
Praise God today, Praise God tomorrow Praise God unto eternity
Praise God from you, Praise God from me, let God hear us sing Praise God
After being released I carried my Bible in my car or truck which ever I had at the time. One day I thought about this and picked up my Bible, the first time in a long time. When I went to look I found that my Bible wore a stain where the light had hit it.
I look forward to being in the light again, Praise God
