Have you noticed that often spiritual phenomena occur at that time when one is neither fully asleep nor fully awake. One might call it a sort of twilight zone. When I was about 8 or 9 I would have recurring scary experiences when lying asleep on my back and it felt as if an evil presence would enter my room and I would lie paralyzed with some kind of pressure applied to my head.
To begin with I couldn't move but gradually I would turn on to my side and then I would be released from its paralyzing grip. I was not a Christian and had no idea about spiritual warfare and moving gradually on to my side was the only way to escape.
Eventually I just completely gave up sleeping on my back. Later when I became a born again Christian I was able to cope by rebuking this force in Jesus Name and that worked just fine and then I was never bothered again.
About 18 months ago while in our missionary community house in Kosice Slovakia, I remember we had just finished praying the Rosary and I nodded off to sleep on the sofa. As I slowly woke up I saw a figure draped in a sky blue robe from neck down sitting sideways in front of me. The head was a golden blur and I felt a feeling of great peace. It wasn't scary at all but just a bit surprising.
When I woke up fully the figure disappeared and there was no chair in that place for anyone to sit on. I believe what I saw was my guardian angel reassuring me that it was always there sitting and waiting at my feet. The figure was not big but the size of a ten year old person. There was nothing to distinguish its gender but it was beautiful and I can remember the situation very well to this day.
A few months ago I experienced the four sweet kisses and the flickering eyes of Jesus which is in another blog on the spiritual experiences website.
It has been so interesting reading experiences from others who have signed up to this Internet site and I would very much like to hear if anyone has had similar happenings to mine?
