Recieving Of The Holy Ghost on 2011-01-12

I had been attending an Apostolic Pentecostal Church; I loved it. I was 17 years old and I was so curious about God, how He worked, how He loved me. I found peace at the thought of Him. But, I looked around, and saw people speaking in tongues. Of course, my curiosity struck in. I wanted to receive t...

Dude, there are pretty much two ways of speaking in tongues, and Paul says this.

In the book of Acts, when someone received the Holy Ghost, they spoke in tongues, so the way we know if we have the Holy Ghost is only by speaking in tongues. Yes, I have spoken in tongues in church to where there was an interpreter. When you speak in tongues in your pray, that is the Spirit praying through you. Now, the Spirit has a lot to pray about. So, why would He only want to speak in interpretation?

May God bless you to understand the Truth.

Lord Bless.
The Holy Ghost was upon you. I have felt this in my feet, like I couldn't control. He's wanting to enter you, but you have to yield to Him. There have been times where I've felt like a hand was holding mine, or someone was brushing against my face or arms. This is either angels, or the Holy Ghost being upon you. But the feeling is even greater when He comes inside of you. Read my story, you'll know what I mean. (: God bless.

Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
I disagree. There are two ways to speak in tongues. 1.) edify the church 2.) edify yourself. Why would God do something so great for me and it be wrong in such a manner that isn't biblical?

I have spoke aloud in tongues, and it was interpreted. But there are times when the Spirit of God will give the utterance (and the church knows) when God is wanting to speak. The voice of the one speaking in tongues will either elevate in tone or in volume, thus allowing the church to hear the tongues and having an interpreter follow up.

God came inside of me with the evidence of tongues (not meaning to be interpreted). It was for my own edification.

One is to renew himself in the Spirit (with the evidence of tongues). "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5

Please take up the offer of going to this website and read the Apostle's doctrine.

May God bless you to understand my beliefs and my spiritual exerience with God and not to put down what was of God in your own sense of belief as in it not being biblical. Remember, two ways of tongues. 1.) for the church 2.) for yourself.

God bless.

This was from God. God cries and sometimes will plead with us to come be with Him; to soak in His love. To feel comfort. It's not something to put to the side.

I suggest that you pray, and grow spiritually with God. Get in to a Truthful church. You may not experience this love the way you did for many years even if you pray and study the Word everyday. Sometimes God will give us something temporary, and He wants us to work and strive to get it again. God bless.

The bible speaks about no man hath seen God because God is a Spirit. The way we know what God's flesh looks like is through 1 Timothy 3:16. It says God was manifested in to the flesh (Jesus' body). So...I'm not sure who you saw. But you have faith like a child, which is great!

God bless:)
