Answered Prayer And Honoring God

I had an experience a few years back concerning an unlikely time for an intervention, but then again, that's not for us to say. My wife and I had been through a tough year, that included some close friends passing away, as well as multiple car thefts to top it off. I had just purchased a new car and prayed to Jesus to please not let this one be taken from me, and to help me keep it safe. I know, it sounds silly, but when you experience multiple car thefts in a short amount of time, it is a tough thing to handle, not to mention the financial strain it causes.

So I stumbled upon an anti-theft device that was recommended, and I called someone to have it installed. A gentleman arrived at my house and from the beginning, I felt something was different about him. He appeared "rough around the edges", and at first I thought he wasn't the type of person I wanted installing an anti theft device on my car. As we spoke, he proved to be very gentle and methodical about his job; very detail oriented. As he laid out his tools on my garage floor, we sat there, and he looked up at me and said, "all you need to do is keep God in your life, and things will be ok".

I didn't think much of it at the time, but as I look back at it over the years, I realized that I learned two things. One, never judge anyone by their appearance, for you never know who or what you will be speaking to. And two, prayers are answered.

Those are words to treasure. It's also reassuring to hear that you can ask for help at any time, and be heard.
