I was at a Padre Pio day in a religious centre in Clonfert Galway, Emmanuel House of Prayer. The day began with prayers and a talk. They had a relic of Saint Pio there.
After the talk they put on a cd about the life of Saint Pio. The very second the video began I got a scent. My daughter was beside me and I asked her if she noticed the scent but she said no.
The man doing the day (Eddie Stones) asked after a while if many had got the scent. I would say 10-20% of the people there got it. I got the scent right up my nose - no doubt about it at all - not just a vague whiff.
I met Eddie another time and asked him if he had expected it - he said they had not. He is a healer. He is there about 20 years under the permission of the bishop. It was the site of a very big monastery.

They also have a relic of Saint Faustina the Polish nun. She advocates the Mercy Chaplet. Most people who receive the blessing from her relic are 'struck down'. It is a most unusual experience.
You don't feel any panic you seem to float to the ground. I have had it a number of times now.
They also have a really nice circular oratory which is very peaceful.
