One night I went out to eat at a local restaurant. I had hot wings and one beer at the bar and left. When I left it was a beautiful night and I was by myself. I lived in an apartment after my divorce and my children were staying the weekend with their father. My mom had passed away in 2000 and since 2005 I had been writing in a journal and asking for guidance from the angels to help me through some difficult times.
I parked in the parking lot and started walking towards my building. There were trees about 20 feet high along the outskirts of the lot and one was growing up over the parking lot and I was walking beside it. Suddenly I slowed down because I had an urge to look up at the sky. It was as if something was drawing my attention up to it and when I looked up the stars were amazing.
I live in a city where it is very hard to see the stars at night so I stood there in awe because they seemed so low and bright. I looked at the big dipper and then suddenly a white orb, I'd say twice the size of a basketball was hovering exactly straight up over my head, about 20 feet up the height of the tree. I stood there, somewhat shocked and stared at it.
It reminded me of Glinda the good witch when she came down in the ball of light in the Wizard of Oz. It was brilliantly lit and mesmerizing. It stayed directly above my head for about 15 seconds and then shot straight north (sideways straight line) so fast that I couldn't believe it. Like the speed of light and was gone.
I will never forget it and was soooo excited! It didn't scare me, it just amazed me. Whatever it was it was I knew it was for me or checking me out. I feel so lucky to have seen something paranormal. I want to believe it was my mom visiting me. What do you think?
