Found, Lost... And Found Again

On the evening of October 18th, 2007 I had a breakdown. It was caused from abusing Ritalin over the last 7 years. Actually I was tapering of an antidepressant and Ritalin without Doctor's orders. And in doing so I temporarily lost touch with reality, telling my husband I was going to take him down in my lost state, running through our home pulling paintings down from walls and when my husband tried to contain me, I threw a flower vase in front of him to keep him from catching me.

My husband and sons must have been horrified at my behavior. The police came and took me to the local emergency room where I was transported to a College Hospital for observation. After this my husband got a restraining order and filed for divorce. When I got released from the hospital I moved in with my sister and her husband. And it was there the Lord began a great miracle in the lives of my family.

I started attending a Christian 12 step recovery at my husband's suggestion. (We both were and are Christian's albeit I was assuredly backsliding for the last 7 years) Between faithfully attending and working the program and calling in and getting constant prayer for my marriage I could do nothing but wait in agony for the Lord to fulfill his promise of bringing back my marriage from the dead.

Many people were praying for my family and in January I sat on the beach on a prayer blanket my sister's friends from her church had made for me. It was surreal that day sitting and feeling God's peace when suddenly though I didn't see him, I felt Jesus' presence there with me. He spoke with me reassuring me with his words. Before He left he said "I am with you always".

Nine months later I moved back home with my beloved husband Craig and my beautiful children Kiersten, 22, Tim, 16, and Sean, 12. It's now May 21st, 2009 almost two years later and on May 27th Craig and I will celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. Thank you "dear Lord"!

That was a beautiful story of life and renewal.
Sounds as if you experienced seratonin syndrome.
All of your symptoms in the begging of story.
Blessings
