Alzheimer And Medium Experiences

I have been working within the caring sector for over 25 years, for the last 8 years I have also been a practicing spiritualist and medium. Over the years I have noticed that people suffering from the early stages of Dementia/Alzheimer often report seeing family members/friends etc, who have long since left this earthly existence, sometimes the images appear to be so real that people can recall word for word conversations that have taken place and relay with amazing accuracy information which has been given to them.

Whether or not you believe in the hereafter or not, I have had so many experiences of this that I have started to collate information and do some research into the matter. A similar theory is that this also applies to people who are in a coma and have the ability to leave their physical bodies for short periods of time and visit their loved ones. Again the information that has been recalled by these people is phenomenally accurate.

As an experienced teacher of spiritual development I know that there is much more on heaven and earth that we understand or appreciate, spiritual experiences are far more common than people appreciate, what we call coincidence I call synchronicity.

I wonder if anyone else has had similar experiences of this kind.

Some of us have supernatural gifts from God, to help others with them, for free. But beware of occult practices. See: LEVITICUS: 19:31, 19:26-31, 20:27. DEUTERONOMY: 18:10-14. II KINGS: 1:1-4. EXODUS: 22:18. ACTS: 19:11-20. All those passages in the old and new testament warn us! Good luck!

GOD sais don't be a medium, don't channel spirits, don't predict the future, don't cast spells, don't practice occult things! Remember adam and eve? They believed the serpent! GOD wants to protect us, silly little things that we are!Timfaraos [at] gmail.com

I believe my brother-inlaw has had some sort of an outer body experience (please read my story where it explains, I would love your opinion) :)
Also, my Grandma died around 6 or 7 years ago - she spent her last 6 months in hospital after she fell in her home. Towards the last few months of her life she to suffered from Alzeimers and claimed that many people who had passed over had come to see her in her hospital bed. Her personailty would automatically switch as well from nice caring grandma to paranoid and non trusting - she would accuse us all of trying to poison her and insisted many terrorists were plotting 'bad things', then the next day she'd be back to normal and so on...
Around 2 years ago my other grandma was in hospital and she to suffered from this split personailty disorder - she would get agitated when we were leaving and try her best to get up and follow us. She once pointed on the bed while me and my sister were leaving and shouted us back saying, 'don't leave little one here on my bed! Take him with you, he's not staying here!' she was referring to my sisters son, but there was quite clearly no-one there...
She is fine though now but occassionally when she gets Water Infections - her personality switches.

This is really interesting. I have always believed that God tries hard to get through to us in His amazing mercy. He does this by either Old age, sickness and then finally death. These three factors are sometimes sufficient to break our insatiable pride which compels us to believe that we do not need God or Jesus Christ. Please keep in touch. My Grandmother recently passed away (Aug.2008) and I can say for certain as we cared for her here in our home, that she often "saw things" we could not-spoke to people we could not see and talked about a lot of loved ones that died years ago. I truely believe she was being "prepared" for her passing over to our Lord, and in her last week made it a point to give kisses and hugs (after weeks of being disoriented, sleeping a lot or "babbling" words we could not understand!) in appreciation of our 24/7 care (we couldn't bare to see her go into a Home and her wish was to die in her bed... And she did. As I sat next to her I like to think she saw the loving face of our Lord, Angels and loved ones as a tear ran down her face, she closed her eyes and another tear came down the other cheek... And her heart stopped peacefully.
God knows what He's doing! HUGS

Yes. I use to work in a nursing home and saw people talking to lost ones. My father had cancer and saw things. My aunt, recently deceased, talked to family members. My grandmother, also deceased, talked to "people" who were gone. Perhaps it is a brain trick of some kind or perhaps it is an opening for research. Good luck.

I work in a hospital as a volunteer for spiritual healing in UK. I never gave it much thought about the patients with beginning dementia/Alzheimer having full memory. But patients with sever decline I've seen talk to people and speak quite clearly when normally they just mumble. Their conversation would go on. I can see the concept of preperation to go over to the other side.
Many Thanks for sharing your experience.
