About 30 years ago, when I was a young man of about 37 years old, I was struggling over my belief in God. Although, I had been a practicing Catholic since my youth, I was having doubts about the existence of God. At this point in my life, I was married with two children living in a house that we owned and working as an engineer for the County Government.
Even though my life seemed secure, I was still troubled about whether God existed or not. I often exercised by running on a nearby high school track. This night I went up to the track troubled with thoughts of how to justify God's existence. The thoughts about God's existence were going round and round in my head like a merry-go-round. When it seemed a hopeless task, I got down on my knees with tears running down my cheeks. In a quiet deliberate voice, I made one simple request. "God, if you really are there, help me with some kind of sign that will confirm that you are real." In a matter of seconds, I felt this deep warmth, like an inner fire, in the area of my left chest or heart and at the same time had the understanding in my mind that this was the Presence of God.

After over 30 years from this momentous God experience, I can tell you what I have learned that will benefit you.
God lives in every human being irrespective of his/her choice of over 20 religion preferences. This means that you can be a Christian, Muslim, Agnostic/Atheist, Hindu, Buddhist, Jew or a Scientologist and still be blessed with God's Indwelling Presence.
This also means that you don't have to accept principles of any religion to have God's Presence within you. You have God's Presence right now. You just need to recognize this fact and know how to commune with the Indwelling Presence.
